First Steps with the Lord
If you have received the Lord Jesus Christ you truly have something worth living for (and dying for). Following are some important steps you'll need to take to allow God to begin working powerfully in your life. These things will allow God to help, heal and empower you as you grow in spiritual maturity.
Spend Time Praying!
John 15:7If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:17Pray without ceasing.
Philippians 4:6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Luke 11:9So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; Seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you.
Ephesians 6:18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

1 Corinthians 12:27Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
Hebrews 10:25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

2 Timothy 4:3-4For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
1 Timothy 6:3-4aIf anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing.
Ephesians 5:19-20Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
